This document explains what data SANKO collects through this site, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights. It is written in accordance with law no. 2019-014 of 29 October 2019 on the protection of personal data in the Togolese Republic.

2. Supervisory authority
The processing described here falls under the authority of the Personal Data Protection Authority (IPDCP) of Togo. SANKO completes the applicable prior formalities with it according to the nature of the processing.
Anyone who considers that their rights are not being respected may refer the matter to the IPDCP, through the channels listed on its official site.
3. Data collected
3.1. Rental enquiry
- Vehicle type wanted, preferred model and number of vehicles;
- pick-up location, departure date and return date;
- email address;
- telephone number with its international dialling code.
3.2. Contact form
- Name, email address, telephone number;
- subject and content of the message.
3.3. Customer account
- Full name, or company name;
- email address and telephone number;
- password, stored in hashed form and never in clear text;
- history of enquiries and rentals attached to the account.
3.4. Technical data
- IP address, held briefly in memory to limit the number of form submissions and prevent the site being used to relay unsolicited mail;
- server technical logs, generated automatically on each request;
- language preference and cookie choice, described in the cookie policy.
No sensitive data within the meaning of the law is collected by this site: no origin, opinion, belief, health data or biometric data.
4. Purposes and legal bases

No decision producing legal effects is taken solely on the basis of automated processing. No marketing is sent without prior consent.
5. Recipients
The data is intended for the SANKO teams handling enquiries and rentals. It may be disclosed to:
- the site host and the email provider, acting as processors;
- the company's accounting and legal advisers, within the scope of their engagement;
- administrative or judicial authorities, on a legally founded request.
Data is never sold, rented or exchanged with third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Hosting and transfers outside Togo
The site and the email service are hosted by [À COMPLÉTER : name and country of the host]. Data may therefore be stored outside Togolese territory.
These transfers are limited to what is necessary for the service to operate and are governed by the contractual commitments entered into with the provider.
Vehicle photographs are served from SANKO's own administration server. Typefaces are hosted on the site itself, precisely to avoid sending your IP address to an outside provider.
One exception: the Contact page shows a map supplied by Google Maps. Loading it sends Google your IP address and the page you are viewing, and that provider may set its own cookies depending on your browser settings. No other page on the site calls an outside service.
7. Retention periods

8. Security
- The site is served over HTTPS: data travels encrypted;
- account passwords are stored as hashes, never in clear text;
- access to data is limited to those who need it;
- the forms include protections against automated submissions.
No measure removes risk entirely. In the event of a breach likely to create a high risk to your rights, SANKO informs the IPDCP and the people concerned, under the conditions laid down by law.
9. Your rights
- Access: obtain confirmation that data about you is processed, and a copy of it;
- rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- erasure: request deletion of your data, subject to statutory retention periods;
- objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- restriction: request that processing be frozen while a point is verified;
- withdrawal of consent: at any time, for anything based on your agreement, without retroactive effect;
- set instructions on what happens to your data after your death.
These rights are exercised by writing to officetg@sankosarl.com. A reply is provided within one month. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt about the requester's identity, and it is destroyed as soon as the check is complete.
10. Minors
The site is not aimed at minors and does not knowingly collect their data. Creating an account and entering into a rental contract require the legal capacity to contract.
11. Updates
This policy may change, in particular if new features are added. The date of last update appears at the top of this page. Account holders are notified of any substantial change by email.
